Tis the season to be Jolly???

If i am totally honest i love Christmas, and i love the build up from it, but it can't start before the 1st December. The last 3 Christmas's have been great, i have felt really festive and loved celebrating the season of Christmas and thanking God for sending Jesus. But this Christmas has been hard, and i still can't put a finger on it. But instead of bottling it up and at some point exploding like a bottle of Prosecco, i decided to talk and pray with friends and my wife.

I simply prayed that i would feel the Joy of Christmas, i know for some people christmas can be a hard time, and i understand that, for others it is a self inflicted stress of feeding 100 people on christmas day and others it floats past and you don't even notice.

But can i say this, the greatest news the world has ever know is that Jesus came to earth, and this can bring Joy to all human kind. - Praying simply reminded me of the Reason for the Season.

You see, 2000 years ago Jesus came into the world as a baby,

Jesus was as real as you and i are today, he had not status in life, he was not born with family of persition, he had no social media campaign, no insta feed, no pm campaign, no private airplane, but he had thousands of followers,

He changed BC in AD - he flipped the world upside down. He is the most read book in the world and the best seller every year.

In this day, we turn on the tv, faceboook news feed and its full of bad news, shootings, killings, people suffering all over the world. it breaks my heart.

But i have the most beautiful news the world has ever known,

that when Jesus came 2000yr ago, he re connected us to heaven, you see we where separated from God through our own doing, he offered us redemption, a fresh start. so we can hold our heads high and march through this life, knowing that we are never alone.

This is the greatest news the world has ever know.

And in the best selling book of the year it says this,

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Jesus came to show us how to live

So can i ask a question?

Will Jesus be part of your Christmas this year? He can bring the greatest Joy.

Have a great Christmas.
